1. INTRODUCTION

a. Background

Teaching English to young learners needs a creative method. It is a challenge in doing that. We realize that we have to organize a method which is interesting to children.

Parts of body is our topic. Teaching it, we think, is very easy. But the difficult one is the aim of this.

We decide to make a learning process that will stimulate cognitive and social development of the children. This is our main goal.

Children, generally, need cognitive and social development in their developing age more than others development things. So we think better to develop those.

It will be supported by the learning process we create. Such as “ask the children to follow an intruction or take them to play in a group”.

b. Objective

We have created a learning method for YOUNG LEARNERS (age 6-7 years old). This method is to increase their cognitive and social development.

c. Method

The children are interisting when they face happy, enjoy, and joyful situation, especially in learning. In contrary they will feel bored if something they do inattractive. For the reason we decided to use VISUAL AIDS to deliver our topic.

d. Vocabularies Bordering

Head, hair, eyebrow, eye, nose, lip, mouth, tongue, ear, back , elbow, hand, finger, stomach, chest, thigh, knee, foot, toe, heel.

2. LEARNING PROCESS

a. Activity One

a) warming up

in this warming up session, the teachers try to make the student feel happy. We will start by asking them about their condition and others, or by telling them a funny story. We will start studing if they have felt enjoy.

b) introduction topic

we begin to tell them our topic ,what we are going to study.

b. Activity Two

for making this easy, we will deliver the topic by using Demonstrative Pronoun. (this, that, those, these)

a) Performing

performing is we use our body to tell the students the meaning of our topic. For example: we point our head and say this is a head then ask them to repeat what we already said

b) Picture

we prepare some picture about PARTS OF BODY and see it to the children. For example; we see them a EYE picture and ask the student to say that is an eye then we change the picture by another one then ask them to say what we see them)

c. Activity Three

a) Singing

Teacher gather with the students sing a song of parts of body

b) Games

The geme here is about memorizing the vocabularies deal with the topic. Every student will be given a picture and change their name with the picture given to them. For example AYU will be called HAIR and we give them the time to memorizing all the new name of their friend in the class. If the time is up, we check them by asking some of them who is the name of AYU for example, and probably she will answer HAIR

c) Review/ Evaluation

By the game given we can know how far they understand the name of PARTS OF BODY, and to make learning perfect we review the topic by asking them or doing a test.For evaluation we use puzzle for presentation our materials.

3. CONCLUTION

The children have emotional development such as positive mood like playing,cheerfull,etc so we are as a teacher have to have a good method for teach children. we choose visual aids to stimulate student’s/children memory and to explain the function of the body, for delivering this method we apply interesting games and evaluation.
